Our verdict
The bottom line
The accessible robot for buyers who want to try the category without spending £1000+. Will not match a Husqvarna 305 for longevity but costs half as much used. A reasonable starter for a small simple lawn.

Used-market tip
£100–250 used. Boundary wire is the #1 fail point — walk every metre. Yard Force batteries lose capacity after 2–3 years; demand a runtime test. Reset the Yard Force app before purchase. Avoid any with rust on the underside.
Where to look: Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree are usually 20–30% cheaper than eBay UK for petrol mowers because most sellers want local pickup. eBay tends to win on cordless and electric (lighter, easier to ship). Always insist on a starting demonstration before paying.
