How MowRight UK collects, uses and protects information about you when you visit this site. Written in plain English, no dark patterns.

Who we are

MowRight UK (referred to as "we", "us" or "our" below) is a UK-based independent lawnmower price guide and review site, published by Bozmaps. The site editor and data controller for UK GDPR purposes is Semir Kahrimanovic. You can reach us at hello@mowright.co.uk or via the contact page.

What data we collect

MowRight UK is a free, browser-based price guide. We do not require you to register, sign in, or submit personal information to use it. The only data we collect is:

• Analytics — aggregated, anonymous statistics about page views, browser, device type, and country (not city). Used to understand which pages help readers and which need work.
• Server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) records your IP address and the page you requested for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
• Advertising — Google AdSense may use cookies to show relevant ads. See our cookie policy for the full list and how to opt out.
• Email — if you write to us, we keep the email so we can reply to you. We don't add you to any list.

What we don't collect

• We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or address to read the site.
• We don't run any sign-up, newsletter, or registration system (yet — if we do, we'll update this page).
• We don't sell, rent, or share data with anyone other than the analytics and advertising providers named on the cookie policy.
• We don't use cross-site tracking pixels or social-network share buttons that load tracking code.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We rely on two lawful bases under UK GDPR:

• Legitimate interest — for the minimum data needed to run a free, public website (anonymous analytics, server logs).
• Consent — for advertising and personalisation cookies, set only after you accept them on the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (in practice this is usually nothing, or only the contents of emails you sent us).
• Ask us to correct or delete that data.
• Object to processing or withdraw your consent.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Third parties

We use the following named third-party services to run the site:

• Vercel (hosting) — receives your IP and the page you request. Privacy policy.
• Google AdSense (advertising) — sets cookies for ad personalisation when you consent. Privacy policy. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
• Google Fonts (typography) — fonts are self-hosted; no requests to Google's fonts CDN are made from this site.

External links and prices

MowRight UK shows price ranges sourced from public listings on Facebook Marketplace, eBay UK, Gumtree and major UK retailer sites. We do not endorse any seller. Prices are estimates and change frequently — always verify on the seller's site before buying.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle data, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and flag the change on the homepage for at least 30 days.
