Our verdict
The bottom line
The current Kubota G-series flagship. Replaces the G21/G23 generation with cleaner emissions and an electronic dash. Same Kubota build quality and the same 25-30 year horizon if serviced. Domestic buyers stop reading at the price; estate owners and grounds contractors are the actual market.

Used-market tip
£6500–11000 used. New enough that hours under 1000 are common. D902 service intervals matter — confirm regular oil and filter changes. Electronic dash faults are the new failure mode — budget for a Kubota dealer diagnostic on any unit over 5 years old.
Where to look: Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree are usually 20–30% cheaper than eBay UK for petrol mowers because most sellers want local pickup. eBay tends to win on cordless and electric (lighter, easier to ship). Always insist on a starting demonstration before paying.
