Our verdict
The 320 NERA is the Husqvarna model where wireless EPOS boundary actually starts to make sense — the smaller 305/310 NERA can do EPOS too but the lawn area is too small to justify the £900 reference station. For 1500-2200m² lawns with awkward shapes that you don't want to dig a wire into, this is the right Automower. For everything else the 305 NERA is two-thirds the price.
Pros & cons
Pros
- EPOS-compatible — wireless boundary if you add the reference station
- Handles 45% slopes
- Husqvarna Connect app with weather timer
- 5-year warranty when registered
Cons
- EPOS reference station is £900 extra
- On boundary wire alone, the cheaper 305 does 80% of the job
- Cutting heights only via app — no wheel

Buying second-hand
Used 320 NERAs are starting to appear at £1300-1600 from people who downsized. NERA platform launched 2023 so battery health is still strong. Confirm the EPOS antenna is intact under the bonnet — replacement is £180 from Husqvarna. Always demand the original charging station; aftermarket ones don't trigger NERA's encrypted handshake.
