Bosch Indego uses a clever LogiCut mapping algorithm — straight-line back-and-forth instead of the random pattern Husqvarna and Stihl use. Cleaner-looking lawn, faster mowing time. Here's what to check on a used one.
Before you go
Bring: phone (Indego app pairs over Bluetooth/wifi), a torch.
Confirm boundary wire is buried at the seller's house — and be prepared to lift and move it.
1. Battery and run-time
Power on, full charge indicated. Indego batteries are smaller than Husqvarna's — a full mow takes 2-3 charge cycles on most lawns.
Battery cycles over 1,000 = expect to replace soon. £85-£140 OEM.
2. Inspect the cutting blades
Indego uses a triple-blade rotating disc. Blades clip on/off in seconds.
Worn or chipped blades = £8 for a set of 9 OEM. Replace before first use.
3. LogiCut calibration test
Run the mower for 5 minutes. Should follow straight rows — not random.
Erratic pattern = sensor calibration is off. Re-run setup via the app; if still wrong, mainboard issue (£200+ dealer fix).
4. Charging dock test
Indego docks reverse-into-the-station. Watch one cycle to verify alignment.
