Verdict — which one to buy
Our take
Petrol vs cordless at the premium end. The Honda will still be running in 2050; the EGO needs a £200 battery every 5–7 years. If you mow under 1500m² and value silence and zero fumes, the EGO has caught up. For everything bigger, petrol still wins.
