Verdict — which one to buy

Our take

Standard EGO vs the new XP series. The XP-line has more torque and a 7.5Ah battery — closer to a petrol in cut quality. Worth the £200 premium if you cut tall or wet grass; otherwise the 2135 still wins on price-performance.
